I have been working in the fire sector for over 20 years, and have been a qualified fire detection and advanced fire alarm system designer for much of that time.  Working for and with a range of companies, including running my own fire alarm business, I have experience of most technologies and almost every environment.  As well as designing fire alarm systems and video fire detection systems, I work with a range of partners to provide fully qualified and accredited designs for any type of life safety system, including portable extinguishers, dry risers, kitchen suppression, domestic and commercial sprinklers, evacuation alert systems, access control, cctv, plant shutdown and control, refuge communication, fire lifts, stadium management, smoke and fume ventilation (AOV), gas suppression and marine systems.  

I am based in Torquay in the South West of the UK.  Most of my design work is from plan, but I can also survey and inspect sites if required.  My rates are reasonable for the quality of work I do and the qualifications and insurances I hold.  Simple designs start from just £50, including certification.  I am happy to quote for more complex work, or operate on an hourly or daily rate.  Please contact me for details.
